Book Review: Brave New World

Brave new world is truly a one of a kind book; it’s nothing like I’ve ever read before. Aldous Huxley did an amazing job on opening my eyes on a whole different world, which is slowly becoming like ours today, just more extreme and freighting.
The world Aldus Huxley created is full of machines creating new life, mind control, sex and an odd drug called soma. In the beginning he takes us through the entire process of how this world is, and what they think it should be, it’s a slow start but necessary to understand how these people in the book think, act, believe in and how they live.

All the characters you meet are all unique in this book, Lenina Crowne is the first one we really meet, she is a good looking girl, who has a secret that she has only slept with one person for the last 6 months, in this world being with one person is frowned upon. “Everyone belongs to everyone” as the saying goes in brave new world. Bernard Max is the one reason I really love this book he is unique and not like the other alphas, he fails to fit in, and wants something much more then this world can of far him. John is the next major character you meet in this book; Sadly we do not meet him until we get way into a book, but he is a boy from an entirely different world, he is a savage who has been raised to be like us in today’s world, who gets a view of Lenina and Bernard’s world, and life as he knows it get turned upside down. Of course these are not all the people you will meet in the book, but you will have to read to find out more. You will follow them in a journey of discovering themselves and realizing what is wrong with their world.

The lives in brave new world, is something you would never imagine even living in, taking a drug called soma similar to illegal drugs in today’s world, having sex with everyone, orgies, no religion, and especially no families. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, are not even heard of in this world. No love, No high schools, no drama, nothing.

Brave new world, is a very good read, a book that will make you think about the world around you, and how life would be if the world we live in got to that extreme, it will never cease to shock you.

Movie Review-Watchmen

Masked super heroes they are only human. This is proven In Zack Snyder’s Movie Watchmen. Based off of the classic comic bookWatchmen.  A group of Normal humans banned together in the traditional super hero costumes to keep their cities safe and sound, until one faithful day president Nixon passes a law of no more masked super heroes, ending the watchmen team, or so they thought.
In the event of the comedians mysterious and sudden death (played by Jeffery Dean Morgan) the character and psycho path Rorschach (played by Jackie Earl Haley) is set out to find who killed him, and why he was killed, only to discover that his death might lead to Nuclear Holocaust. Rorschach sets out to warn all the other Ex-Watchmen members that someone is out to get the watchmen; here we meet Dr.manhattan (played by Billy Crudup) the blue man that is almost better then superman himself And Silk spectre 2 (played by Malin Akeman) the daughter of the orginal Silk Spectre, Also Dr.Manhatans lover. Along the way we also meet Night owl 2 (played by Patrick Wilson) a chubby nerd, who has isolated himself from the world. And the smartest man alive Ozymandias (played by Mathew Goode). This journey takes us through the watchmen’s past, love affairs, finding themselves, and unexpected turns.
So the question here is who is watching the watchmen? Zack Snyder did not fail to go by the classic comic book plot, so don’t worry watchmen junkies; I assure you that this is not another lame comic movie gone wrong. This movie is full of adventure, mysteries, and everything you would expect from Zack Snyder in a movie. Watchmen is definitely a must see movie, that can be watched over and over again.
So what is my thought about this movie? I give it two thumbs up, this is truly an epic by Zach Snyer, everyone needs to see this movie, even if its once.

Satire - Pow #2

This would be an example of satire, because in todays world people think that you should get married and have kids to be happy. This is using a lot of Sarcasm you can tell by the way she says it and her face just tells it all. so yeah i am pretty sure this would be satire.

My Name.

Tia Cheyenne.
My Name has Always been questioned, Where did it come from? Is that Really Your name? Did you know Your name means "Aunt" in spanish? Is that just Your Nickname?
Well, actully its from my mom's favorite movie "Wayne's World" Its kinda embarssing when i tell people, espically if they have seen the movie. My mom didnt want to give me a long name so people could give me nicknames for example, like the name samantha, you could call them Sam, Sammie, Sammers. She wanted it Simple and Sweet. My middle name was going to be my first name at the time, Cheyenne, But she didnt want me to be called chey. So she couldnt decided which one so she named me Tia Cheyenne.
My name Means Princess Orginally, Yes i am Aware my name means Aunt in spanish, but i perfer to Think that it only means princess, because i sometimes act like it. I couldn't imagin having any other name, and i love my mom for giving me a simple and short name.
